Tara O'Neill

Tara O'Neill is a Blue Cross NC authorized agent who has served Charlotte and the rest of North Carolina since 2013. She came to health insurance after 25 years with EMSI, a national insurance-services company, where she owned and ran a branch office and later directed its nationwide contractor network. That work was built on training people, solving problems, and following through.

Tara works with one of the widest ranges of plans at Health Plans of NC. For clients under 65, she handles Blue Cross NC, Ambetter, and Oscar plans, including Premium Tax Credit applications and document uploads on the Marketplace. For Medicare clients, she compares Medicare Advantage plans from UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Humana, along with Medicare Supplements, Part D, and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs).

Tara has earned Elite Circle of Champions status every year since 2016, most recently in 2025, and holds a 5-star Google rating. One client wrote, "I would not have known how to choose my insurance without her!" She offers free consultations.
