Blue Cross NC offers Pay as a Guest, a secure and straightforward way for subscribers and their loved ones to make one-time premium payments without creating an account or logging in. This feature is available for Medicare and individual under-65 members.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) offers Pay as a Guest, a convenient way for subscribers and their family members to make one-time premium payments without logging into Blue Connect. This feature is ideal for those not enrolled in autopay, or for family members and friends helping a loved one pay their health insurance premiums.
Best of all: Blue Cross NC does not charge any fees when you pay your bills online through Blue Connect or Pay as a Guest.
Pay as a Guest is available to:
Medicare Advantage members
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) members
Medicare Rx (Part D) members
Individual under-65 members (both on and off the ACA Marketplace/Exchange)
Dental and vision plan members
Family members or friends making a payment on behalf of a subscriber
Note: If you're enrolled in autopay, your payments are already handled automatically. However, subscribers with a Blue Connect account can still use Pay as a Guest to make a one-time payment without logging in.
Anyone—subscribers, family members, or friends—can make a payment quickly and securely from a desktop computer or mobile device without sharing login credentials.
To make a payment:
Visit bluecrossnc.com
Select the "Members" tab
Click "Make a Payment" under Helpful Information
Select "Pay as a Guest"

To complete a payment as a guest, you'll need the following subscriber information:
9-digit subscriber ID number (found on the member ID card)
Date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY format)
5-digit ZIP code (where bills are sent)
Pay as a Guest accepts multiple payment methods:
Bank Account Draft (EFT):
Pay directly from your checking or savings account
You'll need your bank routing number and account number

A confirmation email will be sent if an email address is on file for the subscriber
Premium payments must be posted by 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time to be credited that day

No fees are charged by Blue Cross NC (though your bank may charge for drafts if funds are insufficient)
You can cancel or modify AutoPay at any time through Blue Connect
