Biography

Tim Barone has been a health insurance consultant with Health Plans of NC since earning his license in 2015, serving Charlotte and clients statewide. Before that, he spent eight years as a public adjuster, analyzing and negotiating property insurance claims for policyholders. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from NC State University.

About half of Tim's clients are on Medicare. He compares Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans from Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Cigna. For clients under 65, he handles Blue Cross NC and other ACA plans, plus travel and expat coverage for people living or working abroad.
