The A, B, C and D of Medicare

Medicare is a federal program to help people age 65 and older (or under age 65 who are Medicare-eligible) cover health care costs. It includes four types of coverage, labeled Parts A, B, C and D.

Guaranteed Acceptance

You cannot be turned down for Blue Medicare Supplement, and may not have to complete a medical questionnaire, if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are age 65 or older, or under age 65 and are eligible for Medicare due to disability5

  • You enroll within six months of enrolling in Medicare Part B

  • You are not covered by certain Medicaid programs

  • You are a resident of North Carolina

No Waiting Periods
